So, Krista is doing an awesome job of keeping everyone informed of our adventures via the blog. You have probably stopped following by now, which i can honestly say I can't blame you- there's nothing here to read! right????
Anywho, we are doing fine. Kayla is getting bigger and making lots of sounds. From both ends. Krista says she can roll over, but I have not seen this to verify the outrageous claims she is making. I am doing well. Sleep at night is getting much better. Kayla's only up about once or twice a night and is sleeping really well. Mommy is feeling fine, usually. She tried formula twice do far, after having two girls nights, and Kayla is not a fan.
We are looking forward to coming home soon and seeing everyone again!

latest and greatest!
so, its been crazy lately. I'm sure from Facebook updates you are all aware that Krista gave birth to a beautiful, healthy 7 pound baby girl on February 25th. We named her Kayla Lavern. Both mommy and baby are doing well. No issues. I am writing this since Krista is bored and has nothing better to do right now than stare at me while I type out something for the blog. I am doing well also, thanks for asking. As for the sleep at night, we are sleeping. The amount depends upon the night. Ta ta for now!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Part 2!
OK....
So Christmas in Korea was not the same as it is in the states. We didn't have any snow, it rained and it was warm. So I wouldn't classify that as a Christmas. The one thing that I had to keep reminding myself of was that Christmas is about our Lord's birth and not about what you receive or what the weather is like.
We started off the celebrations with the battalion Christmas party. It was an opportunity for all the soldiers of 4-2 to celebrate the holidays together and bring their families with if they wanted too. It was a lot of fun to watch. They had a raffle of some pretty expensive items. The biggest item was a TV, that a katusa won. He was so excited about it!
On the decorations front, we were able to get a REAL tree! It was really nice to have that smell in the house. MMMMMM the smell of woods in your apartment! It was all decorated and beautiful. Very patriotic! All we could find was red, white and blue ornaments. Nikolas' mom sent over an angel topper which was beautiful. We had a wreath on the door and the stockings were hung on the air conditioner with car. Hoping that St. Nikolas would soon be there.
We had presents for both Nikolas and I. It was Colt's first Christmas, so we had to have something for him....
It was so much fun to watch him open them! We were able to talk to both our parent which, was hard cause we both wanted to be home to celebrate with everyone. But we had each other!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hey everyone!
I am really bad at this whole blogging idea. I don't have a whole lot to talk about! You would think that with being in a new country, and being able to explore new things that we would be blogging all the time. Unfortunatly, it has been hard with Nikolas' schedule and me being as big as a house. So lets get you up to date with what is happening over here in the land of the morning calm.......
Nikolas is really starting to get a hold of being a platoon leader. His company is transitioning between platoon leaders right now. The platoon leader that has been with him since we arrived here, is moving on to bigger and better things. Sad! The new platoon leader is quite a riot! So as of the middle of January, Nikolas will be the senior platoon leader in C-Company. YAY for my man. Which means that I might become the new FRG (family readiness group) leader for the company. The commander asked me if I would be interested and I was like ok. Hopefully, I will do it justice. January is going to be very busy for him with all the training coming up. So it will just be me, myself and I for the month.
It will be nice to be just me. I can start nesting and not worry about making him crazy. Speaking of nesting....Kayla is doing well. She is getting bigger everyday and did I mention that she is strong as can be. She loves to put her feet in my ribs. It is fun until she start kicking. It is always at the most inconvenient of times. Nikolas finally was able to feel her kick. He was like, "AWWWW cool." So now when he go to sleep he loves to put his hand on the belly.
At my last doctors appointment, she was healthy and on track. She is sucking the blood out of me though. So I am on some iron pills to help with that. BOOOOOOO!!!!! I am not a fan at all, but it is important. I am getting really anxious for her to be here. I see all these little girls around post and pretty much awwwwww at them all. So only about eight more weeks left until she joins us. Watch for more updates!
